Gamer. Reviewer. Collector of random knowledge. And someone who realized a bit late in life that my brain plays on hard mode—without reading the tutorial first.

This site started as my little corner of the internet, a blog in English, and a portfolio of things I’ve created or contributed to throughout my career. Not just in gaming, but in my previous lives as a librarian, a marketer, a shoe salesperson (yes, really), a grant project coordinator, a hotel receptionist, and a worker at a collector’s card e-store. You know, your typical “what do you mean people have one career path?” situation.

But why Jane Dillinger?

Well, Dillinger is a nod to my family history—turns out, the name ran in my lineage several generations ago. And yes, it’s also a little wink at the famous gangster John Dillinger. So, I went with Jane: part “feminine version of John,” part “plain Jane,” part “that friendly nerd next door who will absolutely destroy you in Mario Kart.”

Neurodivergence? Yep, that too.

I made it through the education system relatively unscathed—until a surprise diagnosis of depression showed up at the end of my master’s degree. Meds helped me finish, but something still felt… off. Turns out, I’ve been speedrunning life with some undiagnosed neurodiversity.

I’ve always had a constant soundtrack playing in my head (usually bangers, sometimes cursed TikTok jingles I can’t escape). I was the kid in school who was way too into details, got left out of team games, and constantly heard, “You’re so sensitive!” In university, I almost didn’t get in because the admissions board thought I lacked motivation. (Excuse me? “Because I want to” is a completely valid answer.)

Fast forward a few years, and I started revisiting an old love—video games. Reviewing books as a librarian led me to reviewing games, and now I do both written and video reviews. I write for the Czech site Fantasymag, stream on Twitch, and post on YouTube. I even took QA Testing and Game Design courses to break into GameDev, but so far, the industry remains a boss fight I haven’t conquered yet.

Welcome to Glitches & Glory!

While I figure all this out, we can at least have fun with games together—along with some deep dives into neurodivergence. My recent ADHD tests came out borderline, but let’s be real:

  • Time blindness? Absolutely.

  • Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria? Oh boy.

  • Mood swings? Like a rollercoaster.

  • Rage quits? Of course.

So, grab a controller, a cup of coffee, or whatever fuels your gaming marathons. Let’s embrace the glitches and chase the glory.
